Kids are welcome to come on an adventure with Curious George and The Man With The Yellow Hat in this fun, interactive exhibit based on the popular series of children's books.
Insatiably curious, George lives to find new things to discover, touch, spill and chew. Children can learn like George --- through direct experiences and problem solving as they explore early science, math and engineering through hands-on play.

This exhibition features over 50 pieces of original comic strip, animation and cartoon art of the most famous dogs of all time.
Spanning over 100 years of illustrated history, "Cartoon Canines" is highlighted by original artwork from the legendary Charles M. Schulz, an early comic strip from Tad Dorgan (circa 1913), turn-of-the-century strips from England and France, Disney production sketches and more. Snoopy, Scooby Doo, Huckleberry Hound, Grimmy, Pluto, Underdog, Ruff, Farley, Goofy and Auggie Doggie are all off the leash and on our gallery walls, with many more to keep your tail wagging.

Walk or bike in this non-competitive event beginning at the trail's Arthur H. King Access Area.
A poker run is an organized event using a motorcycle, boat, car or other form of transportation where participants travel over a predesignated route and, at designated stops on the route, draw playing card(s). The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.
At the end of the course each poker hand is tallied and the person with the best hand in each of the three events receives a cash prize award. Afterwards a raffle is conducted and all participants are eligible to win more than 75 door prizes of various kinds and values that have been donated by regional businesses and merchants who support the trail and what the trail brings to our area. A mountain bike is the grand prize give away. There will also be a half-the-take drawing.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used by trail volunteers to maintain, preserve and enhance the Youghiogheny River Trail section of the Great Allegheny Passage. For additional information call (724) 872-5586.

Come on down to the Tall Ships Festival on the Erie Bayfront to take a tour of eight tall ships and learn a little about sailing these large, traditionally rigged sailing vessels.

View the heavens through the observatory's two big telescopes, enjoy a planetarium show, talks on stargazing, green laser tours of the night sky, science movies and pictures/posters of views from the Hubble space telescope.
At this party, members of the Amateur Astronomers Association Of Pittsburgh setup their personal telescopes (a wide variety of models) and offer visitors the opportunity to view celestial objects. Visitors can bring their own scopes to take advantage of viewing conditions at the site. Others use the occasion to simply view the stars and planets with their own eyes.
Star parties begin just before sunset. Unpredictable celestial events such as meteors or an Aurora Borealis often make these public star parties memorable events.
