Classical Mystery Tour: The Music Of The Beatles

The Pittsburgh Symphony Pops Orchestra joins forces with the tribute band Classical Mystery Tour for an amazing reincarnation of the legendary Beatles --- performing each individual note exactly how it was written.

The Beatles (1957-1970) are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed pop-ock bands in history. Their clothes, style and statements made them trend-setters, while their growing social awareness saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.

World Kaleidoscope: Ortner-Roberts Duo

Intensity, virtuosity and an instinctive sense of style characterize the artistic dialogue between the German clarinetist Susanne Ortner-Roberts and the American pianist Tom Roberts as they perform Klezmer music.

Klezmer is a Jewish folk musical tradition dating to 15th century Europe. Klezmer is easily identifiable by its characteristic expressive melodies reminiscent of the human voice.
