Amy's Army Bone marrow screening drive to benefit Amy Katz, 11, of Mt. Lebanon, who needs a bone marrow transplant to combat chronic myelogenous leukemia, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 23. Research

Ultrasound and breast cancer. Weinstein Imaging Associates in Shadyside and Mt. Lebanon is looking for women interested in participating in a National Cancer Institute-sponsored study investigating the role of ultrasound as a screening test for women at high risk for breast cancer. Participants must be at least 25 years of age and have dense breast tissue. Annual breast ultrasound tests will be performed at no out-of-pocket cost for three consecutive years. Acupuncture and depression. UPMC Shadyside's Center for Complementary Medicine is seeking 60 people, ages 18 to 80, who have been diagnosed with mild to moderate depression.
