Phoenix, Az -- West Virginia fell to Xavier, 79-75, tonight in overtime in an NCAA Tournament West region semifinal at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix.

The Mountaineers led 71-65 with three minutes left in overtime but missed several free throws, which gave Xavier life, and then the Musketeers hit two big 3-pointers to complete a 13-3 run and take a 78-74 lead with about a minute to play.
