Thursday, April 17, 2008

Kristy Borza, a Beaver Area High School graduate and a junior at Pitt, broke the Panthers career record for tennis victories recently.

In a match at St. Bonaventure, Pitt recorded a 7-0 victory. Borza earned wins in both singles and doubles to better the record of 126 set by Annie Davies in 2006.

Borza now has 140 victories as the Panthers (11-7 overall, 5-2 in the Big East) head into the Big East team tournament this week as the No. 9 seed.
