A guilty stalker, an 'Iron' sequel and a proposal for Miss Scarlett

Uma Thurman

The former mental patient, who was either a hopeless romantic (according to his lawyer) or criminally obsessed, was found guilty of stalking actress Uma Thurman.

It only took the New York City jury one day to reach a verdict in the case of Jack Jordan, who was found guilty of one count of stalking and one count of aggravated harassment.

He had been making Uma's life a living hell for more than two years, and the actress testified last week about how frightened she was by his actions.

Mr. Jordan faces one year in jail.

"Iron Man" fans, mark this on your two-year calendar.

Marvel studios has announced that "Iron Man 2" will hit theaters April 30, 2010.

We guess that's what happens when the first one, which opened last week, rakes in $104.2 million stateside and $201 million worldwide.

I guess "Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. won't be clipping coupons or worrying about the price of gas anytime soon.

Congrats to Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds. The two young stars are engaged.

No mystery love for these two.

Scarlett, 23, who can be heard singing a few words on will.i.am's Barack Obama video, is set to drop her debut album May 20.

Ryan, 31, is in the midst of filming "The Proposal." Hmm, maybe that's where he got the idea from.

Anyway, no wedding date has been set.

Everybody's still buzzing about Barbara Walters and her self-described affair with former Sen. Edward Brooke, which she details in her new book, "Audition."

BW has been all over the tube promoting the book, and she's on a 25-city tour.

But get this: Ms. Walters is paying the cost for the private jet to get her to those cities, reports Rush & Molloy of the New York Daily News.

Yes, we know it's bad for the environment, but Barbara has two to three book signings in some cities, and it would just be impossible to do all this traveling via commercial airlines, says her spokeswoman Cindi Berger.

But she still qualifies for the HOV flight path because she has her hair and makeup people from "The View" with her and probably some other folks as well.

Guess what?

Somebody, somewhere has named Dina Lohan (Lindsay's mother) Mom of the Year, and she was expected to pick up her award last night!

And you thought you were doing a good job because your children get all A's, do charity work and are heading to college in the fall.

Anyway, DiLo is among the "Top 20 Long Island Mothers of Celebrities" as selected by the LI organization Mingling Moms.

Guess LiLo's hard partying, coke snorting, car absconding, drunken driving, triple rehabbing antics didn't disqualify Dina from this prestigious lineup.

Other moms include Carol Baldwin, mom of the Baldwin Brothers, and Lillian Robinson, mother to Eddie Murphy. That's not the full list, just some of the highlights.

Yesterday we mentioned that LiLo would be on the season finale of "Ugly Betty," but she'd better watch out because Naomi Campbell and her cell phone-throwing self also will appear in that episode.

"Ugly Betty" co-star Michael Urie tells People he was skeptical about the abusive catwalker, but she was "so willing to make fun of herself."

She's also very willing to have a hissy fit if she gets ticked off, so we're sure they kept her plenty happy on the set.

While we're on the subject of hissy fits, we'll let you know that Mr. Temper Tantrum himself, Kanye West, went ballistic on his Web site after getting a B+ review of his Glow in the Dark Tour in Entertainment Weekly.

"What's a B+ mean? I'm an extremist. It's either pass or fail! A+ or F-!" Kanye said. "I just wanna know when was the last time you enjoyed yourself. If you can't have fun and lose yourself at this tour, it's a good chance you're a very miserable person. ... You don't know [expletive deleted] about passion and art."

Well the K Man thought better of his words and has now kind of apologized.

"I did go in a little too much on that one," he typed. "I'm sure there are some cool people who work over there and had nothing to do with that review."

Ya think?
