Friendship will hold its 11th annual Flower and Folk Festival today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Baum Grove parklet at South Fairmount and Harriet streets and Roup Avenue.

In addition to live folk music from local bands, it will include sales of flowers, herbs and vegetable plants to support upkeep of Baum Grove. Food and raffle ticket sales will benefit preservation projects.

Event organizers are asking for donations of pet-oriented supplies to help the Animal Rescue League, including dog and cat food, cat litter, pet toys, blankets, towels, paper towels, hand and dish soap, bleach and a small refrigerator.

The Friendship Preservation Group and Friendship Development Associates are co-hosts.
