World's Largest Lasagna scores big
Thursday, May 15, 2008

The 8,800-pound lasagna Chris Beers of the Spaghetti Warehouse in the Strip District built with hundreds of volunteers for last Sunday's Race for the Cure raised some $15,000. The money goes to the Pittsburgh affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization dedicated to breast cancer research. All 8,400 hundred slices sold within two hours, including one that went on eBay for $103. The restaurant should know in three weeks if the lasagna merits a listing in Guinness World Records.
