Pittsburgh preservation sites announced tomorrow
Thursday, May 15, 2008

The Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh announces its annual Top Ten list tomorrow night at a 6 to 8 p.m. gala at the New Hazlett Theater in Allegheny Center.

WQED's Rick Sebak will reveal the group's Top Ten Best Preservation Opportunities.

The event is $25 for members, $20 for students and $40 for everyone else.

Parking is allowed at the nearby Children's Museum.

In past years, the Young Preservationists have championed numerous historic sites for preservation, including the Granada Theater in the Hill District, and Mooncrest, a 1943 Federal Housing Administration community built for World War II defense workers.

Registration information is available at www.youngpreservationists.org. Cash and checks only will be accepted at the door.
