Thank You, USA

Seventy Nine was a remarkable year

We made a big move from there to here

To leave Ukraine we boarded a train

full of hope scared as hell

we ended up in Vienna some hotel

Then on to Rome with its endless beauty

First slice of pizza and a whole lot of duties

Rome was nice, but we had to go

To the final destination we did not know

We settled in Pittsburgh beautiful city

Where rivers are wide and the hills are so pretty

City of Champions it was then

We hope to see it happen again

It was a steel city not long ago

With gray dust all over wherever you go

Now Pittsburgh changed a lot

Health and science filled the spot

The games and regattas, the concerts and shows

could steal your heart like nobody knows

The fireworks the best in the nation

You could enjoy them after every occasion

Citizenship inauguration was quite an event

The unforgettable memories will last till the end

There is always a question ... why you moved?

The answer is ... the quest for freedom

and to become the best we could

United Jewish Federation the strongest in the nation

stretched out its helping hand

and brought us to the land

to the land of peace and freedom

to the land of USA

thank you for giving us a home

thank you for letting us stay
