Police and animal control officers seized 35 animals from the home of a Pitcairn man yesterday, police said.

Officers searched the home in the 1000 block of Broadway Street about 10:30 a.m., taking with them dogs, cats, rats, rabbits and some other animals, police said.

Some of the animals, whose conditions were unknown, were taken to Triangle Pet Control Service in McKees Rocks.

The man's name was not released. It is unknown what, if any, charges he faces.
