AUDITIONS

Bethel Park -- Heritage Players will conduct cold-reading auditions for "12 Angry Jurors" from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 at Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave. A cast of 13 persons, ages 20 to 80, is needed. For more, call 412-831-6800, ext. 745.

DINING OUT

McKeesport -- The Free Hungarian Reformed Church, 101 University Drive, will hold its annual chicken and dumplings dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 6. The preferred advance order deadline is Dec. 1. Call 412-672-7298.

ENTERTAINMENT

Mt. Lebanon -- A free "Gems of the Baroque" concert at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 311 Washington Road, will feature masterpieces from the Baroque period. Soloists and other musicians will perform a program of Bach, Handel, Purcell and more, accompanied by the church's recently restored and expanded pipe organ.

FAIRS

Mt. Lebanon -- St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mayfair and Washington roads, will host a Canterbury Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, with antiques and collectibles, a silent auction, raffles, handmade and holiday gifts, pantry specials, a bake shop, attic treasures and more. A hot lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

FLEA MARKETS

Mt. Lebanon -- Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., will hold its annual Famous Flea Market from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. It will feature the Bower Hill Boutique, where shoppers can check out items priced as low as $1. At 2 p.m., there will be a half-price sale on boutique and large items, and a $3 per bag sale.

LIBRARIES

Bethel Park -- Bethel Park Public Library will hold these children's programs:

• Bingo! Bingo! Bingo! from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, for children in grades K-2.

• Krafty Kids, 7 p.m. Monday.

• Duct Tape Madness, 7 p.m. Dec. 3.

Mt. Lebanon -- Mt. Lebanon Public Library events:

• Grand opening of a yearround book shop on the library's lower level, 6 p.m. Dec. 4. Hosted by the library's Friends group. Used books and audio-visual materials will be available for purchase.

• Basic of Volunteer Administration, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Presented by Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Foundation Center in cooperation with Volunteer Administrators of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Advance registration requested.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

Bethel Park -- Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, offers the program, The Religion Vote: The Treacherous Terrain of Piety and Politics, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Otterbein Room. Dr. Dan Aleshire continues an examination of how religious preferences influence voting, religious conscience and national policy. For more, call 412-835-6621.

Bethel Park -- St. Valentine Church Theater Guild will perform the musical storytelling of Marty Haugen's "Tales of Wonder" at 3 p.m. Sunday in the church, 2710 Ohio Ave. Parishioners Dennis DeLuca and Kathy Wray will be featured storytellers. There is no admission cost, but anyone attending is asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a monetary donation for St. Vincent de Paul Society.

SUPPORT

Bethel Park -- Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, holds the first meeting of Baby Steps, a new support group for women suffering from postpartum depression, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in room A105. Plans are to continue meeting at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday and at 10 a.m. the third Monday of each month. For more, call 412-835-6621.
